Yes. If it’s appropriate based on your risk, we’ll refer you for genetic screening and explain the results so you can take action with confidence.

No referral is needed. You can book directly with our doctors.
Unlike most primary care or OB/GYN appointments, we focus only on breast health and risk. Our physicians have deep expertise and the time to provide highly individualized care for patients who are at higher risk.
Yes, Defiant can work with your current primary care doctor or other specialists (such as a gynecologist) to help coordinate your care throughout the process. If you don’t have a primary care doctor, we can still help you.
We’ll share your plan in writing and help you book any next steps—whether that’s imaging, genetic testing, or a follow-up consultation. We’ll then review your results with you and your current primary care doctor, if you have one. We stay with you every step of the way.
We’re here for you. If new findings arise, we offer an Accelerated Diagnosis service so you can get diagnosed within days, not months.
All imaging and labs ordered by your Defiant Health clinician will be billed directly to your insurance by our partners.
Defiant Health is unable to offer some services to HMO health plans. If you’re unsure whether your insurance plan is accepted, reach out to us at support@defianthealth.com.
We work with self-pay patients and can help find the most cost-effective options for imaging and follow-up care, which will be out-of-pocket and in addition to the Defiant Health fee.
Yes, the diagnostic service offered by Defiant Health is considered an eligible medical expense that can be paid for using FSA and HSA dollars.
No. Imaging and testing are billed separately, usually through your insurance. We work with your providers to make sure you’re only getting what’s needed—and that it's as seamless as possible.
